Safely Educating Our Children this Fall

Much discussion is taking place about how school districts are planning to reopen this fall during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This Tuesday, July 28th at 1:00 p.m. I will host a special meeting of the Senate Majority Policy Committee on safely educating our children during the upcoming school year.

This meeting will be held at Bayard Rustin High School in the West Chester Area School District. Seating is limited due to social distancing, but you are able to watch a livestream of this event here:

This meeting will feature local superintendents, teachers and others discussing various school opening options for the fall. I hope that you will find this event helpful in learning how our schools are planning to operate during the coronavirus crisis.

Nothing is more important than the safety of our families. Please know that as your Senator, I will continue working to ensure that our school districts have the protective measures and resources in place to safely educate our students.
