Senator Tom Killion (R-Chester and Delaware) released the following statement regarding Governor Tom Wolf’s proposed 2020-21 budget:
I want to make sure priorities important to our communities are addressed in the upcoming budget. It is also important that taxpayers are protected and receive value for their state tax dollars. I’m pleased that Governor Wolf has proposed an increase in funding for all levels of education. I’m also fully supportive of Governor Wolf’s call for a severance tax on natural gas to fund critical infrastructure needs, his request for increases in gun violence prevention efforts and call for legislative action on pipeline safety.
This is the beginning of a process that will span several months. As a member of the Appropriations Committee, I look forward to our upcoming budget hearings and am committed to fighting for a budget that works for all Pennsylvanians.
